Moving in the West Valley heat
Phoenix runs opposite to the rest of the country: the busy seasons are February to May and September to November. Summer is quieter because moving in 110°F is hard work and, for older residents, risky. If you move between May and September, ask providers about early starts, keeping air conditioning on in both homes, keeping heat-sensitive items out of hot garages and trucks, and how they plan around monsoon storms.
